Millwood Fire Company services Chappaqua, Ossinning, Briarcliff Manor, and other neighboring areas. Station 1 and Station 2 work together to respond quickly to both sides of the Taconic State Parkway (the "East End" and "West End") for Millwood's Fire District and beyond.
The Millwood Fire Company was formed in 1924 and protects the residents of Millwood, New York, a hamlet of the town of New Castle, as well as large numbers of residents with Chappaqua, Ossining, and Briarcliff addresses. The Millwood Fire District spans approximately 10 square miles with nearly 7000 residents in the north-central part of Westchester County. We are currently comprised of almost fifty members, and are actively growing. Responding from two stations, we protect a primarily residential fire district with a handful of commercial developments, as well as a regional electrical substation, a regional water filtration plant, several public schools, a large children's acute care facility, and several group homes. Our neighboring departments - with whom we work very closely - include the Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, Briarcliff Manor, Ossining, Yorktown, and Croton Fire Departments.
Millwood Fire's protection area covers over 10 square miles. Our coverage includes all Chappaqua schools, highways, historical landmarks, and many commercial properties.
